The students at Western perform at least one play or musical each year. This production is usually in the fall and involves students in many aspects. Not only can students try out for various acting roles in the production, but more students are needed for many behind-the-scenes responsibilities as well. Students are involved in making and designing the sets, making or locating props, helping with costumes and make-up, working the house lights, and assisting the director.
Western's recent production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's State Fair was a great success, which also included some cameo appearances by a few Western faculty and staff members! Western's yearly production of a play/musical is an event which brings many students together through hard work, dedication, and commitment to putting on an excellent show!
