Western recognizes the artistic gifts of its students by offering three course studies in the Arts. These courses encourage knowledge and practice in many areas. Student work is often displayed throughout the school, specifically in hallway art cases, the Library Media Center, and in classrooms. In addition to that, student art is often featured in the Western Witness, a publication sent to supporting churches. Finally, the visual arts at Western have recently set up a Western Christian Art Gallery on a website, Artsonia.com. This is a great way for our students to have their work accessible to more people, while encouraging them to appreciate the work of others as well. Whether students are working on print-making, airbrushing, or pottery, they are encouraged to use their hands and creativity to explore the world around them and glorify their Maker with their artistic gifts.
