Class of 1985 Reunion

The Class of 1985 celebrated our 30-year class reunion on Saturday, September 5, 2015, at the LeMars Convention Center.  We had 23 classmates attending along with many of our spouses. Classmates traveled from as far away as California, Arizona, Colorado and Nevada, as well as closer classmates from Nebraska and of course Iowa.  It was a wonderful evening filled with many hugs, tears and much fun and laughter.  We all discussed how much we had missed one another, but hadn’t realized it until we were together again.

The evening started with visiting and light appetizers.  We then had devotions led by Sandy (Mars) Weidner who read Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, A Time for Everything. The choice of the Bible passage was perfect as the last 30 years has brought many changes in each and everyone’s life.  The passage reminded us that God had been with us through everything that has taken place over the last three decades and will faithfully be with us in the future. We then had a delicious Prime Rib and Stuffed Chicken dinner catered by Chit Chat catering in Hospers.

Next on the agenda was 80’s trivia led by Jodi Krikke.  The questions covered class, school and general 80’s trivia which brought back A LOT of memories.  A “selfie” booth was also set up with props for silly pictures with old friends. God has been so good to the Class of 1985!

Reunion Committee members:
