    GENERAL:
    - This week we have received reports that several students are using their phones and/or speeding while driving, especially after school is dismissed. For your safety, police will have an increased presence in the area, and we expect all students to follow the law and practice safe, distraction-free driving.
    - Individual Speech meets today after school. If you are unable to make it, check in with Miss Bierma to receive your judge’s sheets. 
     
    ATHLETICS:
    - Boys basketball plays in Des Moines and the Casey’s Center tomorrow afternoon at 2:00. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time at this link:

    SCHEDULE: Regular 8-Period 

    GENERAL:
    - This week, we have received reports that several students are using their phones and/or speeding while driving, especially after school is dismissed.     - Individual Speech will meet tomorrow after school for a final practice and to fill out judge’s sheets.
    - Any students staying overnight for the State Tournament this week are required to complete a State Authorization form. Reminder that these are due to the office by TOMORROW!

Founded in 1919, Western Academy began as a four-year academic community accommodating grades 9-12. Renamed in the 1930s to Western Christian High School, the mission and values remain the same.
