    LUNCH: Chicken Nuggets, Mac & Cheese, Mixed Veggies & Jell-O.
    Congratulations to Grayden Feenstra for winning the lunchroom trivia. Our question was “How many meals did we serve in September?” Grayden’s answer was 5,218, the actual number was 5,432. Thanks for participating everyone!

    SCHEDULE: Regular 8-Period Schedule

    GENERAL:
    - Blood Drive Today! The blood drive is happening today from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. right outside the front doors of the school. If you are under 18, you will need to fill out a parental permission form before donating. Forms are available in the front office. Thank you to everyone who is taking the time to donate and make a difference!
    - Mrs. Khang’s faithpack is assigned to clean up after the volleyball game tonight. Thank you Khang Faithpack!
    - Both student-led Bible studies meet tomorrow morning!  Welcome back!
    - If you’re considering going to Spain for spring break, email Ms. Jeltema by Friday, October 10.
    - Academic Intervention reminders went out yesterday. You must attend unless YOU talk to Mrs. Wilson before 3:30pm today. Check your emails to see if you have been assigned!
    -  Juniors: Please make sure to fill out the google survey posted in the Class of 2027 google classroom from the NCC Career Fair. 
    - The Tech Department is launching Operation Missing Charger. Several chargers seem to have gone on extended vacations from our shelves. If one has found a new home in your backpack or locker, please help it return to its natural habitat — the Tech Office — no questions asked!”

    AG/FFA:
    - Reminder that those on the “Feed the Farmer” committee need to be excused from 4th/lunch (10:52-12:19). Please meet in the Ag Room to secure meals before heading over to the Coop. 

    ATHLETICS:
    - The Cross Country team is at Cherokee tonight. Please dismiss all cross-country runners at 2:15; the bus leaves at 2:30.
    - We will have a short meeting in the cafeteria for both boys and girls during morning break for all those interested in wrestling this winter. We will have a sign-up sheet and go over the pre-season agenda.  
    - We have our last home regular-season volleyball matches tonight. JV and JVR start at 5:30, with varsity to follow at 7:00 against Harrisburg. Please have the east girls' locker room cleared out at the end of the night.

    - We will be hosting a blood drive tomorrow, October 7, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. right outside the front doors of the school.     - It was great to see all the interest for the Spring trip to Mexico. If you want to take part in this trip, email carey.vandonselaar@westernchristianhs.com by October 20, preferably sooner.
    - Mrs. Khang’s faithpack is assigned to clean up after the volleyball game on Tuesday, October 7th. Please meet up in the gym afterwards.
    - All essays for the Netherlands Exchange are due by Thursday morning.
    - Juniors: Please make sure you have registered with StriveScan for the college fair portion of NCC’s Junior Career Fair today to help easily share your information with colleges. This was posted in the Class of 2027 google classroom. 
     
    CAREER/COLLEGE RELATED ANNOUNCEMENTS
    - Seniors: If you have not met with Mrs. Khang about your postsecondary plans, please check the Class of 2026 google classroom and sign up a time to meet with her.
    - Seniors: Many internal scholarships have opened and are available through various colleges/universities. Please check with the colleges/universities you have applied to. Dordt’s internal scholarships are now open for application for those who are thinking about attending Dordt. 

    SNACK SHACK:
    - The Snack Shack now has a website! Don’t want to wait in line during afternoon break? Prefer to order right from your device instead of using your card? Place your order online and pick it up  during afternoon break. Stop by the Snack Shack on the first floor by the science wing for your daily snack or caffeine kick!

    - The following people bought Mums and requested student pick up. It is YOUR responsibility to deliver and collect payment for these sales. Any flowers left in the greenhouse by October 9 will be donated.

    - JVR and JV football plays at West Lyon tonight. Please dismiss all players at 3:00, bus leaves at 3:20.
